Electronic Road Pricing (ERP)

Electronic Road Pricing, or ERP, is a type of toll system set up by Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) to regulate traffic on the roads.

All cars, trucks, buses, and motorcycles in Singapore have IUs, or card readers.

These IUs read the value stored on a card called a Cash Card. They have a small LCD display which shows how much stored value is on the card when it is inserted into the IU.
