Road Tax in Singapore

Road tax in Singapore is required for all cars. The sum is calculated based on the car's engine capacity and the age of the car. After 10 years the road tax amount will increase 10% per year until it is 150% of its original value.

Road taxes were lowered for cars, motorcycles, taxis, buses and goods vehicles by 15% on 1 July 2008. A 30% rebate will be given for all except cars and motorcycles between 1 July 2009 and 30 June 2010.
