Although Singapore is a very small country, driving in Singapore can be complicated at times. The country has an extensive network of expressways which span all corners of the island. These allow for easy access to most parts of the country within less than an hour.
Some of these expressways are the Central Expressway (CTE), which leads from the city up north to Yishun, the Seletar Expressway (SLE) which
stretches from Yishun to Woodlands, the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE), which spans from the city to Tuas in the West, and the East Coast Expressway (ECP) which reaches from the city to Changi Airport in the East.
Other expressways are the BKE, KJE, KPE, and TPE.
Before driving in Singapore, one must understand Electronic Road Pricing (ERP). This is a type of toll to regulate traffic, especially during peak or busy hours.
